Los Angeles-based Dr. Ava Shamban has been a dermatologist for more than 30 years, and in that time, she has served as the resident dermatologist on Extreme Makeover, as well asopened med spas in Los Angeles.
Recently, Shamban launched the premium skin-care brand,Althaea Skin. The line is inspired by Nobel Prize-winning research showing that the skin has its own circadian rhythm that influences key functions, such as cell regeneration, hydration levels & barrier protection. Daily stressors can easily disrupt these cycles, leading to skin woes like inflammation and signs of aging.

Each formula features the dermatologist's patent-pending proprietary complexes, Lunar Synq Technology, and Solar Synq Technology which support the skin's natural cycles.
